Ken and Janel Fisher pastor the church I attended for my short season in Lloydminster. My first Sunday Ken introduced Southridge as a Church where everyone doesn't know everyone, but everyone is known. He talked about the importance of life groups and walking with each other. Having moved to Lloydminster from Caronport, a community with an emphasis on doing life together, I knew this was a church I wanted to be a part of.
Since that sermon I had the opportunity to pray with Ken and his pastoral staff on several occasions. Each time I have been so blessed by their ministry. They have challenged my understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to walk in his presence and peace. Although I now live in Medicine Hat, I continue to be blessed by listening to their sermons online and reading Ken's blog Tender Hearted Warrior (https://kenallanfisher.wixsite.com/website).
Taking Ken and Janel's family photos was an awesome experience! Their two sons are full of energy and creative ideas! Janel is a stunning blond and put together the family's outfits beautifully! Because the boys are older than most of the kids I usually shoot I felt totally spoiled by how they engaged and were listening! As a result, we got lots of interactive shots and formal portraits!
Ken and Janel, thank you for pointing your church and community to Jesus. Your peace and confidence in his redeeming work are so refreshing. It was such a blessing to worship under your leadership for a short season. May God continue to work in and through your family!
